Supporting Our Families – Woodlands Park Primary Parent/Carer Padlet
At Woodlands Park Primary, we understand that family life can sometimes be challenging, and we are committed to supporting our school community in every way we can. That’s why our Pastoral Team has created an online resource hub using a platform called Padlet.
This Padlet is designed to be a one-stop space where you can find helpful information, advice, and resources on a wide range of topics. Whether you're looking for support with emotional wellbeing, parenting, or accessing local services, there's something for everyone.
Information includes:
- 👨👩👧👦 Family Support – Practical advice and resources to help with everyday family life and wellbeing.
- 🌱 SEN Information – Guidance and support for families of children with Special Educational Needs, including links to local and national services.
-
📝 Making Referrals – Information on how to access additional support through external agencies.
-
💻 Online Courses – Free and low-cost courses for parents and carers on a range of topics.
Simply scroll down each column to explore the different categories. We’ll be updating the Padlet regularly, so please check back often for new content.
Transition Support
To support children with their transition to a new class in September, we have created Class Transition Booklets. These booklets provide information about the new class, teacher and routines. This will help children become familiar with their new environment before the start of term.
We encourage parents and carers to look through the booklet with their child over the summer holidays, discussing any questions, feelings or concerns they may have. For some children, particularly those who find change difficult, revisiting the booklet regularly can help build confidence, reduce anxiety and create a positive start to the new school year.
Our aim is to ensure that every child feels happy, prepared and excited about the next stage of their learning journey
