As part of our focus this term, Year 3 are learning about 'The Stone Age'. In line with this, our key text in English is the book 'Fossil' by Bill Thomson known for other works such as 'Chalk' and 'Typewriter'. The children were so engaged by his wordless book that they wanted to ask him about his ideas and inspiration.
Bill Thomson kindly accepted a request to answer some questions that the children have about the book. Since the Illustrator lives in America, we arranged a call on Zoom where we met him and had a live Q and A time. It was a valuable session and children were deeply engaged and excited that they got to meet the Illustrator himself!
