Year 5/6 Girls' Football Festival
On Thursday, eight girls from Years 5 and 6 represented Woodlands Park at the local Girls' Football Festival. The team demonstrated fantastic sportsmanship, teamwork and determination throughout the afternoon, competing against seven other schools.
After six matches, Woodlands Park finished in 5th place, recording two wins, one draw and three losses. The team defended brilliantly throughout the tournament, conceding just five goals and keeping several matches extremely competitive.
The girls were a credit to the school, representing Woodlands Park with enthusiasm, respect and positivity throughout the afternoon. As the festival progressed, their confidence grew and they played some excellent football, working hard for one another both in attack and defence.
Well done to all the players involved!
