Happy 35th Birthday, Woodlands Park!

What a super day we have had celebrating 35 years of Woodlands Park Primary School!
It has been wonderful to look back at where our school journey began. We have loved hearing stories from parents and grandparents who remember the school site when it was still just a field, as well as from parents who were pupils here when the school first opened. One brilliant memory was hearing how the chairs were still being unwrapped as pupils arrived for their very first day! We even discovered that Mrs Cooke was one of those very first pupils too!
Throughout the day, the children have explored photographs from the past, discovered what life was like 35 years ago and listened to memories from staff who worked at the school when it opened. We finished our celebrations with WPFA cakes after school and, of course, plenty of singing, including some of the assembly songs that filled the hall back in 1991!
Days like today remind us just how special our Woodlands Park community is. Generations of children, families and staff have all played their part in shaping the school we know and love today.
35 years of memories, community and strong roots, with many more exciting chapters still to come!
