'Children in Need' - November 2015

This year the children of Woodlands Park Primary School decided how to raise money for ‘Children In Need’!  With the theme ‘Champions of Change’ in mind the School Council, who were elected by their class members, collected the views of all pupils and raised money on Friday 13th November with a ‘Wacky Hair Mufti Day’.  Both Pudsey and BBC Spotlight joined us and the whole school sang Happy Birthday to celebrate Pudsey’s 30th Birthday.

They took advantage of the visit from Pudsey Bear himself, donating money to have a photograph taken with the famous bear in a special ‘Photo Booth’.  Many members of the school donated their own toys for an after school Toy Sale.

The School Council recognised the more serious side of this charity event and held a well-researched, informative whole school assembly to remind everyone why their efforts were so important. With support from some key members of staff a fantastic amount of £414 was raised.
